Air New Zealand and the Department of Conservation

Working towards our joint vision of New Zealand as a place where our natural environment is thriving, and that all New Zealanders can enjoy.
DOC Air NZ lock up

Air New Zealand is the Department of Conservation's (DOC) National Partner for Conservation and we've been working together since 2012 to protect and enhance New Zealand's natural environment.

New Zealand is one of the richest areas of biodiversity on earth and yet we also have one of the highest rates (over 4,000 types) of threatened species.

The plight of our native species is great, and we need to take urgent action to ensure they are around for future generations to enjoy.

It takes a collaborative effort to make a difference and all of us have our part to play. Alongside DOC and their other commercial partners, we're working with iwi partners Ngāti Porou, Ngāi Tahu and Manawhenua ki Mohua on a range of biodiversity projects.

Our partnership with DOC covers three key areas to help stem the flow of species loss whilst also increasing our understanding of our natural environment.
